Sunday Waterfront Farmers Market
Sundays from May - Oct
There is a massive Farmers Market at Boxcar Park every Sunday, and it's a must-go if you are here visiting. Grab lunch and load upon locally-made snacks and artesanal hard goods.
Local tip: bring a picnic blanket, skip the plastic tables, and head out to the lawn to enjoy your food. Sit back and take in the sweet views of Port Gardner Bay.
Cruzin' to Colby
Memorial Day Weekend
Long before social media and online dating were a thing, there was cruising on Colby Avenue. Colby was the street back in the 60's and 70's where high school kids and young adults would drive their cars up and down, make new friends and get into trouble. It’s a fond memory for many locals, and we celebrate it annually over Memorial Day weekend with a huge car show. We're talking hundreds upon hundreds of cars along with street food, live music, and more. Do not miss it.
Artist's Garage Sale
Schack Art Center
Whether you're an artist, an art appreciator, or you just love fuzzy hand-knit caps, the Artist's Garage Sale is for you. The sale is huge - filling up the Schack Art Center and spilling out onto most of the block in front. You'll find artists selling art supplies, one-of-a-kind artwork, and all manner of handmade goods. Be sure to bring cash!
Free children's concerts
Thursday mornings from July - August
Silver Lake Park
If you have kids and are in town on a Thursday morning between July and August, do the right thing and bring ‘em to see a free kid-friendly concert at Silver Lake.
June 7-9, 2019
Legion Memorial Park
People travel from far and wide to catch Everett’s iconic garden arts festival. It’s easy to see why, too: dozens upon dozens of vendors selling gorgeous and eccentric handmade garden art, food trucks, a wine garden, lectures, music, and more!
Local tip: There's a free shuttle that will get you to the event, so you don't have to worry about parking.
Music at the MarinaWebsite
Music at the Marina is a summer classic. Free outdoor live music, dancing, drinks, sunsets, and the smell of old wooden docks and salt water. Get ready to get down on the best outdoor dance floor this summer in Everett.
Local Tip: You can reserve table space at Lombardi’ s Italian, but it’ll cost you around $20. It’s worth it if you want to sit and enjoy a great meal with the show.
Colors of Freedom Fest
Downtown Everett & Legion Park
We take the 4th of July very seriously here, and celebrate with a whole day's worth of festive fun. It all starts with a massive parade in downtown, followed by a family-friendly festival at Legion Park with food trucks, a beer garden and live music. The night concludes with a firework show over the bay. It’ll make you wish you were ridin’ on the back of a bald eagle.
Local tip: Show up early to everything if you want a great viewing spot. Legion Park is always packed, but sometimes you can get a little extra breathing room at Grand Avenue Park. If you're watching from anywhere other than Legion Park, you can tune into FM 1380 (KRKO) and hear the live music.
July - Labor Day
Everett’s sandy island of wonder is only accessible for a couple of months via a free ferry (unless you have a boat/raft/scuba tank). If you’re in town between early July and Labor Day, you must do a beach day at the Jetty. The island boasts over a mile of sandy beach and the water is shallow and warm (by PNW standards). We know this is bold, but we think it’s the best beach this side of northern California.
Sail in Cinema
July - August
What’s more summer-centric than outdoor movies? Nada. Catch free waterfront outdoor movies on Friday evenings at Boxcar Park. Bring a blanket, junk food, and enjoy the show.
Cinema under the stars
Friday nights from July - August
Silver Lake Park
Friday evenings between July and August, the City of Everett puts on free, family-friendly outdoor movies for all to enjoy. Bring a blanket or a chair, pack some snacks, and enjoy the show.
Port of Everett Marina
Fresh Paint lives up to its name, for sure. Over 130 artists gather along the entire promenade at the Port of Everett Marina crafting a variety of artsy goodness while you watch. Buy art fresh off the easel, catch some live tunes and glassblowing demos, eat street food, see the boats float by–it’ s perfect. The Float Find on Jetty Island is a must, especially if you have kids.
